Remembrance Sunday

I'm a Special Constable and last Sunday I took part in our town's Remembrance Sunday parade.  For a small market town the parade was really well attended.  There were about three hundred marchers and people watching.

Apparently this year marks the 175th anniversary of the Special Constabulary and the Royal British Legion presented us with a certificate to mark that anniversary and the years that the Special Constabulary at Whittlesey have policed the parade.

Unusually someone managed to cajole me into the church and make me sing.  If you know me at all then that's highly unusual

Anyway the day passed off well with none of the usual "What's going on then?" from drivers we had to delay during the parade which was a refreshing change.

Sometimes my children can drive me mad with daddy this and daddy that and this weekend reminded me how lucky I am.
