Blackberry & Lotusphere challenge me!
I've just been out for a walk during which the heavens opened and I got soaked! The walk wasn't a total loss though because I've had an idea or two....
The Idea: LS 2007 Party/Networking Guide
What if I wrote a LS 2007 Party Guide for the Blackberry (maybe other Java enabled phones too)? My idea is to have a little app that holds details of all of the official and unofficial parties and opportunities to network. I have some contacts that should give me details of one or two good events. In addidtion companies and individuals could email or add comments here with details of events which could be added to the app. For those with data access I could have the app get updates via HTTP even during the event.
What about details of vendor competitions and giveaways, opportunities to take part in podcasts or details of exhibitors generally?
What do you think?
I'm not sure how many readers I have right now but if this idea appeals to you please let me know. I've got a fair bit of time (ahem) and the motivation to do it but it would help to know if it's a worthwhile idea. So leave me a comment please.
Otherwise suggest an app for LS 2007 that would really help you get the most out of the best conference of the year and I'll see if it can be done. I won't duplicate the Turtles speaker/sessions guide though as they'll be producing it again this year.
If we manage to get this into shape quickly it'll help me justify a flight

Well I've started writing the application and I've got a fair amount done. I'll post a new blog entry either today or over the weekend with more details of how things are shaping up.
