I'm watching Monty Python's Life of Brian right now having watched a documentary (the secret life of Brian) about it that aired on UK television last week.  I'm too young to remember the controversy that this film created when it was released in 1979.  The issues that surrounded its' release then seem so relevant today. I doubt that this kind of film could be made again.  I had no idea that George Harrison funded the project at the last minute.  Thank <insert deity of your choice or null or goodness> for George and the Pythons.

My favourite scene is probably the one where the centurion corrects Brian's grammar, it's priceless.  Fabulous film   My favourite Python is probably Michael Palin (I'm reading the first installment of his diaries).
