The day before Lotusphere

It's an awful day here weather wise, very windy and very wet.  Fortunately the wind hasn't got so bad yet that it rips the fences up and throws them around.  The fence panels are 6' x 6' or 2m x 2m and my garden is about 350 feet or 120 metres long so when they start to unravel (annual event) it can be pretty scary.  So let's hope everything stays OK for while I'm away.

I've got it all to do today:  Insurance, car hire, currency, get ipod up to date, find a good book, clean the fish out, oh and pack

As far as my schedule is concerned I'm planning to go to BALD, and Bill's Birthday Bash to start.  Come Monday I'll be scouring the exhibitor floor for items that I can add to craicBerry.  The rest of the plan will get hatched at Gatwick and over the Atlantic and during the week.

Version 1.2.9 of craicBerry is current and I'm going to release the source for the BlackBerry application on openCOD.org tonight.

I can't tell how many times it has been downloaded and installed but there's been some interest.  With a little ruthless promotion and a little luck it'll pick up when it matters over the weekend and next week.

Anyway it's after 9am and there's a lot to do

It was with interest that I read that one of the jobs you had to do was pack? It was with even more interest that I read you were organising your own car hire and insurance? Did I miss something or do you have two suitcases, two hire cars and two lots of insurance?

Clare packed (don't tell security at Gatwick) & organised my insurance and the car at the last minute.  With the weather being as bad as it was I really didn't think I was going to make it.   I had to telephone her from the train to beg her to do it and being the trooper that she is she got it done.

Thank you my wife, where would be without you?*

    * much richer and holidaying in the Caribbean Just kidding you.
