Catching a cat burglar......

I woke up at 12:30 this morning to the sound of a riot in our kitchen.  At first in my still half asleepness I thought we were being burgled (admittedly the burglar would have to be completely incompetent given the noise).

But no.

Our slightly overweight black cat had found a carrier bag half full of stuff and managed to squeeze himself into one of the handles until it was trapped around stomach.  He'd obviously managed to spook himself when he knocked a plastic water filter with 2 litres of water on to the floor along with the kettle (also full of water until it hit the floor).

Spooked he must have started to run around trying to free himself.  At which point I guess he must have roused the dogs from their sleep and they began to chase him around the kitchen knocking things of the table and work surfaces and finally shelves.

Imagine the scene of devastation

As for the culprit he paid for his crime with a night on the tiles (outside the house).....

LOL, that must have been fun! You should keep a video cam rolling in the kitchen.

Oh, that is too funny and I can imagine that middle of the night 'surreal' scenes must have taken your brain a while to process.
Just think, if you had had a camera your cat would be the hit of YouTube right now!
Guess you'll have to still work to be famous now (snicker)
