The BBC news and current affairs service is very important to me.  One of it's journalists, Alan Johnston, was working in Gaza and was kidnapped on his way home from the city on the 12th of March this year.  Since then there has been little news of him.  I'm not sure why he was taken and I'm not going to speculate.  If reporters cannot be safe to report then we'll have even more areas of the world where dark things happen and no voice speak out (I suspect it might be in some people interest for that to happen).

I'm hoping for Alan's safe return.
