OperaMini: Micro-Browser

I've just downloaded and installed the Opera Micro-Browser to my Curve.  Features include (not including items not supported on BlackBerry):

  • Speed claims to be much faster because the data is compressed before being sent to the phone, I presume it's bypassing the BES and going to an Opera forward proxy.  Not sure if I like that on privacy grounds but I read the license and they don't seem to collect any personally identifiable data, you should read the license agreement for yourselves.  In any case I denied the application access to files, pim, phone you name it and it still seems to work....
  • Auto-sizing of text and images according to your devices screen
  • Easy scrolling using 2,4,6 and 8 keys
  • Create custom search shortcuts
  • Page overview with hyperlinks at the top of the page
  • Native BlackBerry menus
  • You get a mouse (the BlackBerry browser has this already in Desktop mode)
  • Mobile View for better rendering
  • Opera provides a CSS tool to help web designers design for mobile devices...
  • RSS reader (seems nicer than the one that comes with BlackBerry browser OS 4.2+)

I'm just starting out with it but so far I like it....
